LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton (20-13) fell to No. 1 UCLA on Tuesday night to close out their non-conference schedule.
Taylor Dockins got the start and worked her way out of a jam for a scoreless first stranding a pair of Bruins.
Unfortunately, five singles and a walk would result in three runs for UCLA in the bottom of the second.
The Titans would finally respond in the fourth as Deshea Hill would lead the inning off with a solo home run to dead center.
The Bruins would answer in the bottom half with a two-run homer of their own and make it 5-1.
Sophie Frost came in and shut the Bruins down to close out the game, but the offense could not spark a late rally.
Cal State Fullerton opens conference play this weekend as they had to Santa Barbara for a three-game series with the Gauchos.
