FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton (15-9dropped their midweek contest, 1-0, against Houston on Tuesday night.

Sophie Frost got the start in the circle and did her part throwing a complete game while only allowing one run on eight hits. She struck out four Cougars and surrendered just one walk.

Janelle Rodriguez had the only big hit for the Titans, going 1-for-3 with a double. Ari Williams was 1-for-3 with a bunt single and her seventh stolen base of the year, while Deshea Hill and Daisy Munoz each recorded hits in the ballgame as well.

It was a pitchers' duel at Anderson Family Field as neither team could put any runs on the board for the first five innings. Houston had a baserunner each inning, but Frost and the defense did a great job getting out of every jam up until the sixth.

An RBI bloop single into left field would drive in the only run of the game for Houston and it would be the difference as Savannah Heebner shut down the Fullerton offense.

The Titans will be back at it on Thursday as they begin their final tournament of the weekend, hosting the Easton Invitational. Game one will be Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. against Boston University.
