FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer dominated Hawai'i on Thursday night to secure a spot in the final of the Big West Tournament on Sunday. The Titans won 3-0 thanks to goals from seniors Savannah Sloniger and Maddie Bennett as well as junior Haley Brown. CSUN earned a 1-0 win in the first extra time period over UC Santa Barbara, meaning the Titans and Matadors will square off on Sunday at 5 p.m. PT in Titan Stadium. The winner of that match earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Fullerton extended its school-record unbeaten streak to 15 matches with the win.

The Titans jumped out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to Sloniger's goal at the 8:19 mark. Junior forward Haley Brown crossed the ball into the box and the Hawai'i defender's clearance attempt went straight up in the air rather than away from the goal. Brown got herself in great position and headed the ball towards the back post where Sloniger was waiting to tap the ball in. The senior's first collegiate goal was also the match-winning goal.

Shortly after, Fullerton jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Bennett scored her 11th goal of the season. Senior midfielder Atlanta Primus, the reigning Big West Midfielder of the Year, delivered the assist when she took the set piece quickly and played it to Bennett. She used her speed to get past the defenders and struck the ball past the Rainbow Wahine to extend the lead.

The third goal came from a rare 3-on-1 breakaway and Brown finished it off for her seventh goal of the season. Barrios and Bennett earned the assists for their second and sixth of the season, respectively.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Noa Schumacher recorded her seventh shutout of the season, tied for the fourth-best mark in program history for a single season.
