FULLERTON, Calif. – Garrett Losee's half volley from the top of the box in 67th minute was all the Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team needed in a 1-0 shutout of Santa Clara on Friday night at Titan Stadium.
Ian Ramos found Losee open at the top of the box, and the native of South Jordan, Utah, controlled the pass before propelling a half volley over the head of Bronco goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh.
For Losee, it was his second goal of the season as the Titans won their second straight and improved to 2-3-2 on the year. Santa Clara, currently ranked 10th in West Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, suffered its second loss of the year at 4-2-1.
