MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – After the final round of the NCAA regional Tuesday afternoon at the TPC of Myrtle Beach, Cal State Fullerton finished in 12th place with a score of 23-over par 887.
Derek Castillo followed up his opening rounds of 72 and 74 with another 74 in the final round. He finished tied for 35th place with a total score of 4-over par 220 for the tournament.
Jack Dyer ended the tournament in a tie for 49th place, with an overall score of 6-over par 222. He shot 74, 71, and 77 over the three days.
Matt Wilson placed tied for 55th with a 7-over par 223 after shooting 3-over par 75 in round three. Dalton Daniel finished with a score of 15-over par 231 for the tournament, finishing in 65th place. Michael Sharkey finished in 67th place after posting a total score of 18-over par 234.
Illinois, Ohio State, Wake Forest, California and UNLV were the five teams to advance to the next round. Michael Feagles of Illinois won the tournament individually with a score of 15-under par 201.
The Titans had a very successful season as the team finished in the top five nine times this season with three team victories. The team finished in the top-10 in all 11 tournaments this season and finished the final five tournaments of the year with two victories, two second place finishes and third place finish.
