FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's golf looks to advance at the 2019 NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional Monday, May 13 through Wednesday, May 15 at the TPC of Myrtle Beach.
The Titans head into the regional as the No. 11 seed. Fullerton will be paired up with No.10 Oregon State and No. 12 Middle Tennessee State in the first round with tee times beginning at 5:55 a.m. PST Monday morning.
Tournament Seeding: The remaining seeds include Wake Forest at No. 1, Cal at No. 2, No. 3 Texas Tech, No. 4 Illinois, No. 5 Florida State, No. 6 UNLV, No. 7 Oregon, No. 8 Ohio State, No. 9 Northwestern, No. 13 VCU, and Robert Morris at No. 14.
The three-day tournament is set to play at the TPC of Myrtle Beach, a par 72, 6,950 yard course. The top five teams advance to the next round of the NCAA Championships.
Last time on the Green: The Titans finished won the Big West Tournament for the first time since 2014, a score of 12-over par 876. Senior Matt Wilson continued his hot streak from the last month, finishing in first place at 5-under par 211.
Wilson shot a 75 in round one, a 68 in the second round, and another 68 in the final round of the tournament. It is Wilson's first career tournament victory and he becomes the first Titan to win the Big West Championship individually.
