Kamga Joins MBB Program as Graduate Transfer

FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton head men's basketball coach Dedrique Taylor and his coaching staff have added Brandon Kamga to the program as a graduate transfer. Kamga joins the Titans from High Point University and will be eligible to play during the upcoming 2019-20 season. According to ESPN, he is ranked as the No. 48 best transfer in the nation for the 2019-2020 season.

Kamga, a 6-5 guard and native of Reston, Va., spent the first year of his collegiate career at Northeastern and the last three seasons at High Point but played only during the 17-18 and 18-19 seasons. Last season, as a junior, Kamga played in 24 games, started 22 of them and scored 13.8 points per game, shot 35.1% from beyond the arc and hauled in 5.2 rebounds per game. With those numbers, Kamga ranked 11th in scoring, 13th in three-point field percentage and 13th in rebounding in the Big South.

"Brandon provides us with a plethora of experience and production," Taylor said. "His maturity along with his size and skill set gives us a dynamic wing that provides us a great chance to compete for a Big West Conference title! I'm excited for his impact on our program and our success."

During his sophomore campaign in 2017-18, Kamga started all 28 games he played in and posted 10.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. As a freshman at Northeastern, Kamga played in 15 games and averaged 6.7 minutes per game.
