Titan Volleyball Ranks 6th in Preseason Poll

Irvine, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton volleyball was predicted to finish in a tie for 6th place in the Big West Conference as the Irvine-based league office announced the preseason coaches poll Tuesday afternoon.
Cal Poly, the defending Big West Conference champions, led the voting receiving eight of the nine first place votes and tabbed to repeat their 2006 efforts ahead of Long Beach State.
The Titans received 33 of the total 81 possible votes to tie Pacific behind Cal Poly, Long Beach State, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge.
Fullerton finished 2006 with a 17-12 overall record in 2006 and finished in 6th place with a 6-8 league mark.
Fullerton will host its annual alumni game o Aug. 18 at noon in Titan gym before progressing to the 2007 schedule slated to begin Aug. 24 at the Boise State Tournament in Idaho.
