Fullerton, Calif. - Torrie Brown blasted a game-high 16 kills and hit .500 on the match as Cal State Fullerton defeated West Virginia 3-0 in Match No. 4 of the Fullerton Classic presented by Embassy Suites Brea Saturday night in Titan Gym.

The Titans improve to 8-3 on the year and 2-0 in tournament play with the 25-18, 25-13, 26-24 victory. All eight of their wins this season have come via the sweep. West Virginia drops to 9-4 overall and 1-1 in tourney action.

Brown, who had half of her kills in Set. No. 1, was flanked by Erin Saddler who provided 11 kills in 39 swings to help the Titans to a .265 team attack percentage.

Michell Kopecky paced the Mountaineers with 10 kills. West Virginia hit just .108.

Four West Virginia defenders finished with 10-or-more digs and were led by Bonnie West who scooped up 19 attacks. Fullerton's Cami Croteau led all players with 23 digs from the back row.

Fullerton out-blocked West Virginia 6.0 to 3.0 large-in-part to Ayana Whitaker and Saddler's play at the Net. Whitaker posted a match high four blocks (1 solo). Saddler finished with three (2 solos).

The Titans will return to the floor tomorrow afternoon as they take on Liberty at 3 p.m. and close out the tourney with Yale at 7:30 p.m.
