Broncos Down Titans in Three Games

Boise, Idaho - Despite a double-double from freshman Sarah Day, Cal State Fullerton (0-2) was swept for the second straight match, falling 30-25, 31-29, 30-28 to Boise State (2-0) in their second match of the Bronco Invitational Saturday afternoon at Bronco Gym.

The Titans' Alex Wolnisty shared the match lead in kills with the Broncos' Jeanette Jenkins with 13, but hit just .065 with 11 attack errors. Day posted 11 kills, 11 digs and three block assists in the losing effort.

Jenkins, Jaime Claussen and Arlee Tamietti had 10-or-more kills for Boise, who out-hit Fullerton in all three games, including their match-best .333 in the second game. Fullerton managed its match-best .222 attack percentage in game two, forcing the opponents into a brief overtime.

Freshman Blocker Erin Saddler again led the way with five block assists to lead all players.

The Titans will wrap up the Bronco Invitational with a match at 5 p.m. MT vs. UTSA.
