The UC Riverside women's tennis team bounced back from two conference losses over the weekend to sweep Cal State Fullerton, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon. It was the first Big West win of the season for the Highlanders who next host Pacific on April 13 before finishing up conference play at UC Irvine on April 16. The Big West Championship is slated for April 24-27.
Fullerton fell to 3-17 overall and 0-8 in the Big West.
UC Riverside took all six singles matches in straight sets as no Highlander lost more than five games in a match.
UCR took all three doubles matches as well, although the No. 1 Doubles team of Oki and H.R. Espiritu squeaked by with an 8-7 win. Plata and Corpuz won at No. 2 Doubles, 8-1, and the Sakhakorn sisters teamed up at No. 3 Doubles winning 8-2.
