Women's Tennis Swept at Home by Pacific

FULLERTON, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team was swept by the University of the Pacific 7-0 in a Big West Conference match on Titan Courts, Saturday.

Pacific jumped up 1-0 in the match with a sweep in doubles. Leslie Bullock and Jaycee Cruz teamed up for the second time in as many matches, this time in the No. 3 position, but they couldn't pull out a win against Pacific's Svenja Arens and Clara Schuhmacher.

In singles, Cheyenne Inglis bounced back after a first set loss to push her second set to a tiebreaker in the No. 3 position. Arens won the tiebreaking point, and Inglis lost the match 0-6, 6-7.

Brandy Andrews went to a tiebreaker in the first set of her match in the No. 5 position with Schuhmacher. Andrews had trouble capturing the decisive point and lost the match 6-7, 2-6.

Cruz won the only set of the day for the Titans in her No. 6 position match with Sasha Fisher. In the first set Cruz was on her game, winning 6-2. Fisher sprung back in the second set, handing Cruz a 4-6 loss, and 5-10 defeat in a tiebreaker to take the match.

CSF women's tennis will play next when they go on the road and face-off against UC Irvine in a Big West Conference match at Irvine, April 7 at 1:30 p.m.
