Fullerton, Calif. - Monica Rodriguez won No. 2 singles and teamed with Tiffany Mai to win No. 1 doubles but the balance of the Titan squad struggled in a 5-2 loss Wednesday to the University of Houston.
The Titans won the doubles point with Karina Akhmedova and Malorie de la Cruz winning at No. 3 and they took a 2-0 lead after Rodriguez' quick 6-0, 6-1 win over Elena Kazakova at No. 2 singles. But the Cougars won the remaining five singles matches.
