FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton seniors Gina Le and Mai-Ly Tran each posted singles wins and teamed up to win their No. 1 doubles contest for the Titans, but it was visiting Pacific that left Fullerton with a 5-2 women's tennis victory on Sunday. Le and Tran defeated the Tigers' duo of Jolanta Twarowska and Sasha Fisher, 8-7, but Pacific took the next two by identical scores of 8-4 to jump out to a 1-0 overall lead in the match. In singles play, Le defeated the Tigers' No. 1 singles player, Vana Mrazovic, 6-7, 6-4, 10-2, while Tran posted a win at No. 2 over Twarowska, 6-0, 2-6, 7-5. However, Pacific clinched the match with four wins in singles play, two of those in straight sets. Fullerton's Katrina Domela lost a three-set marathon to Svenja Arens, 6-7, 6-3, 10-6, and Jerusha Cruz forced the Tigers' Carla Tamborini to three sets before falling, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
