Crystal Medina

Player Profile

Position:
Undergraduate Assistant Coach

Former Cal State Fullerton infielder Crystal Medina returns to the Titans' bench this season as an undergraduate assistant coach for the 2006 season under Michelle Gromacki.

Medina played the better part of three seasons for the Titans from 2003-05 before injury ended her career following her junior year - when she appeared in only 10 games as a pinch runner in 2005, scoring two runs.

She had her best offensive season as a freshman, hitting .250 with 11 runs scored, four walks, and a pair of stolen bases. Medina scored seven more runs as a sophomore and drove in the first three runs of her career in 2004.

A native of Visalia, Calif., Medina prepped at Mt. Whitney HS where she was a three-year letter winner and a three-time All-West Yosemite League honoree for the Pioneers.

Born Dec. 13, 1983, in Tulare, Calif., her parents are Carlos and Anita. Her older sister, Raquel "Rocky" Medina, played softball for the Titans from 1995-98.
