The Angels RBI League provides kids, who would not have otherwise had the chance, the opportunity to play softball in an organized league.
We were very excited to be a part of this special event here at Angels Stadium," said Titan Interim Head Coach Dee Dee Kingsbury. "We jumped at the chance to reach out to the young softball players in our area and mentor them as they work to achieve their dream of playing college softball."
"It was also nice to see several of our Titan Tuffy kids that were at the camp and who were very excited to see their Titan big sisters. All-in-all it was a great day for the sport of softball."
The Titan program was among eight other local Div. I and Div. II teams that participated in the event that provided nearly 150 youngsters the opportunity hit, pitch, catch and throw on the major league field in Anaheim.
Numerous USA Softball representatives were on hand for the event as well including three-time Olympic gold medalists and three-time collegiate national champion Leah O'Brien-Amico, and Olympic gold medalists Amanda Freed, Tairia Flowers, and Lovie Jung.
