Titans Land Top 50 Class According to Soccer Buzz

Fullerton, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton's women's soccer recruiting class earned its second top-50 national ranking in the last three years under Head Coach Ali Khosroshahin according to Soccer Buzz, an Internet magazine devoted entirely to collegiate women's soccer.

This year's group of recruits was ranked No. 37 in the nation and also placed ninth in the West Region - tops among all Big West schools. Pacific was next at No. 48 nationally and No. 13 in the West, followed by Cal State Northridge (No. 75/19), UC Irvine (No. 76/20), and UC Santa Barbara (No. 78/21) in the top 100.

Khosroshahin's first-ever recruiting class in 2002 was ranked No. 22 in the nation and No. 6 in the region by Soccer Buzz, while his 2003 recruiting class was placed at No. 99 nationally and No. 20 in the West.

Cal State Fullerton, coming off a 9-8-2 overall record and a 3-5-1 mark in the Big West, opens the 2004 season on Aug. 27 with its home opener against national powerhouse Pepperdine at Titan Stadium at 7 p.m.
