BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team's 2010 season opener was suspended with just over 12 minutes to play in the first half after a power failure knocked out the lights at Cal State Bakersfield's Main Soccer Field on Friday night. No make-up date has been scheduled.
Friday's match was scoreless to that point with the Roadrunners outshooting the Titans, 4-0, while junior goalkeeper Jordan-Michelle Santos made two saves for Fullerton to keep the match scoreless.
The Titans will look to play a complete 90 minutes on Monday in their home opener against No. 14 BYU at Titan Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. with free admission to the event. The Cougars posted a 2-0 victory over Long Beach State on Friday afternoon to open their season.
Fans are advised to arrive as early as possible as Monday marks the first day of classes on the Cal State Fullerton campus and parking is expected to be at a premium.
