FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's soccer program will embark on a cultural international experience from May 24 to June 3, 2018, it was announced on Thursday.
Fullerton will spend ten days traveling abroad to Germany, Netherlands, and Ireland.
The Titans will take on four teams during their excursion, all match times and opponents are to be determined.
Nano Oronoz expressed her joy looking forward to this experience, "It means so much to me to get this opportunity because I've always wanted to play in Europe and to be able to go over there and play with a group of amazing girls is definitely a blessing."
She went on to say, "I am hoping to have an overall great experience and create great memories. With it being my last year I am glad I am able to have that experience."
To start the trip, the Titans will land in Dusseldorf, Germany and spend the day there enjoying the Rhine River Cruise before departing to Valkenburg, Netherlands.
On June 3, the first match will take place in Belgium where the Titans will face off against a Belgian team.
Game two will take place on May 29, as Cal State Fullerton will face off against a Belgian team once again.
Later, the Titans will arrive in Dublin and enjoy four days to round off the cultural international experience. Two more matches will be played on the pitch while staying in Dublin.
The first day in Dublin will commence with a walking tour of Dublin and leisure time before facing off against a local Dublin opposition.
June 2, will prove to be a culturally enriching day as the Titans take a day trip to Kilkenny Castle. Kilkenny is often referred to as, "The Marble City" and holds a preserved past of medieval Irish history.
The Titans will return to Dublin after spending time in Kilkenny to step on the pitch one final time overseas on June 2, 2018.
