Cal State Fullerton Women's Soccer Welcomes Eight for 2013

FULLERTON, Calif. -- Cal State Fullerton head women's soccer coach Demian Brown announced today the signing of eight high-school standouts to National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Cal State Fullerton.

The class leans heavily toward the offensive side of the ball as only one defender was among the group compared to three forwards and four midfielders. Seven of the signees are native Californians with the eighth, Tara LeBaron, hailing from the state of Nevada -- only the 14th women's soccer student-athlete, and the third from Nevada, to come from outside the state of California since the program's inception in 1993.

"I am very excited about our 2013 class," Brown said. "It is great mixture of talent, athleticism and experience and, more important, they are each outstanding individuals both on the field and in the classroom. I credit the great work of our coaching staff who worked very hard, not only to find the best soccer players for our program, but the most outstanding citizens as well. With this class, our future is very bright and adds to our very talented core of returners as we prepare to set out on our goal to repeat as Big West Conference champions."
