Gymnastics Signs Alicia Meyer to Letter of Intent
Nov. 14, 2008
FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton head women's gymnastics coach Jill Hicks announced that Missouri native Alicia Meyer has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Titans beginning in the 2010 season. Hailing from Concordia, Missouri, Meyer attends Concordia HS and joins the Titans from the GAGE Gymnastics Club that also produced current Fullerton sophomore Alaina Baker. "We are excited to have signed another great gymnast from GAGE," Hicks said. "Alicia is a seasoned competitor and very strong on floor and bars." Meyer brings with her a stellar resume that includes qualifying for the Level 10 Junior Olympics from 2004-08 and placing seventh on floor at the 2008 Junior Olympic Nationals. She also placed first in the all-around, on beam, and on floor at the 2008 Level 10 Senior B Regionals while also finishing third on bars at that same competition. Cal State Fullerton opens its 2009 season with the first of four straight home meets to start the year on Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. with a dual meet against San Jose State at Titan Gym. |
