Titans' Nicole Lim Selected as Alternate for 2007 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals
April 3, 2007 FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton senior Nicole Lim was named as an alternate on balance beam for the 2007 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Regionals hosted by the University of California on April 14 in Berkeley, Calif. Six teams, five all-around competitors (who are not on a qualifying team) and one individual event specialist per event (who has a minimum Regional Qualifying Score of 9.4) were named to each of the six regions. The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 26-28, hosted by the University of Utah. In addition, the event winners at the regional championships will advance to the national championships (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or the all-around qualifiers. Lim led the Titans in 2007 with a 9.641 season average on beam, including tying a career-high with a 9.875 in the regular season finale at Oregon State.
