SEAL BEACH, Calif – Cal State Fullerton women's golf finished 14th at the Gold Rush Invitational at the Old Rach Country Club Tuesday afternoon with a score of 57-over par 921.
San Jose State took first place at the tournament, shooting a 9-over par 873. Abegail Arevalo of San Jose State took first individually with a score of 2-under par 214.
Leading the Titans individually, Pauline Welker shot a 10-over par 226 to place tied for 33rd. Starting in 43rd, Welker was able to move up 10 spots in the final round after shooting 1-over par 73. Welker shot 79 in round one and 74 in round two.
Senior Texie Petchel finished 56th individually with a final score of 16-over par 232 after shooting 7-over par 79 in round three on Tuesday. Felicia Medalla tied for 60th with a score of 18-over par 234.
Elsa Lundquist tied for 64th with an individual score of 19-over par 235. Lundquist moved up from tied for 66th after shooting 5-over par 77 in the final round. Lisa Djerf finished tied for 74th after shooting a 26-over par 242, moving up from 78th in the third round with a score of 5-over par 77.
The Cal State Fullerton Titans have a brief interval before returning to action on March 18 at the Meadow Club Women's Intercollegiate.
