Seattle, Wash. - Megan Richardson and Lyndsey Grove combined for 30 points as Cal State Fullerton edged Seattle University, 63-58 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference women's basketball game at the Connolly Center.
The Titans even their record at 1-1 while the Redhawks fall to 0-2.
With 3:00 minutes remaining in the match, Fullerton trailed by a point, but one of Grove's two three pointer's on the night, put the Titans in the lead for good.
Richardson led all players with 16 points, shooting 50 percent from the field (7-for-14) and from the charity stripe (2-for-4). She also added a block, three assists and a pair of steals. Grove logged 14 points with two assists and two steals. Lauren Chow was the third Titan in double-digit points, tallying 10 points, five of which were courtesy of free throws.
Tatiana Heck was the Redhawk's leading scorer with14 points.
The Titans will return to the court on Nov. 18 as they host San Francisco in their 2010-11 home owner in Titan Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
