San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Megan Harrison scored 25 points and Jessica Eggleston had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds Saturday evening to lead Cal Polo to its eighth consecutive victory, a 75-64 Big West Conference women's basketball win over visiting Cal State Fullerton.
Toni Thomas led the Titans with 22 points and 9 rebounds but they couldn't overcome 34 percent shooting from the floor including 22 percent from the 3-point line and fell to 13-15 and 7-7 in the Big West.
Cal Poly improved to 13-12 and 8-4.
Charlee Underwood had 14 points and Andrea Adams joined her in double figures with 11 for Fullerton, which will be the No. 5 seed in the post-season tournament starting March 7 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Titans have only a home non-conference game vs. UC Davis remaining on the regular season schedule.
Fullerton used a 16-7 run to open the second half to cut a 38-24 halftime deficit to 45-40 with 14 minutes to play. But the Mustangs gradually pulled away.
