Former Cal State Fullerton basketball letterwinner Allyson Alhadeff returns to the Titans' sidelines in 2008-09 for her third season as an assistant coach with the women's basketball program. After graduating from Cal State Fullerton in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in mathematics, she earned her master's degree in kinesiology in 2006 all the while serving three seasons as an administrative assistant with the Titans' men's basketball program. "It has been my pleasure to watch Allyson grow from a Titan player to a young professional who is fast becoming a really good coach," Head Coach Dr. Maryalyce Jeremiah said. "Her work ethic is impeccable and her passion and love for Titan Basketball is something that I always will want in this program. Coach Alhadeff will bring a growing knowledge of the game, a desire to help young people, a strong value for the educational experience and a strong recruiting contact in Southern California." A native of nearby Ontario, Calif., Alhadeff played four seasons for the Titans from 1999-2003 and was team captain for her final three years. She was twice honored as the team's scholar-athlete and was a three-time Big West Conference scholar-athlete. In 2001, Alhadeff was inducted as a member of the Golden Key International Honors Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society. Alhadeff prepped at nearby Chino HS from 1995-99 where she twice earned first-team All-Baseline League honors. An All-Inland Valley and San Bernardino County selection, she averaged 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists as a senior while earning numerous academic accolades. Alhadeff, 27, currently resides in Fullerton. |
