Steven Fennelly, a former graduate assistant and video coordinator at Iowa State, was hired as an assistant coach on Daron Park's staff on May 2, 2013.

Fennelly recently completed his second season as the head video coordinator at his alma mater, helping guide Iowa State to two NCAA Tournament berths and a 42- 22 (.656) overall record during that time.

"Steve is an exceptional individual who comes from an amazing basketball family," Park said. "I've known him for years and his passion and attention to detail in film sessions will make him an amazing addition to this staff."

Before his role as video coordinator, he also spent four seasons (2007-2011) as the head student manager at Iowa State, where he scouted opponents and watched and edited game film regularly.

Under the guidance of his father and legendary Iowa State head coach Bill Fennelly, Steven made six consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including two trips to the Sweet Sixteen and one to the Elite Eight in 2008-09.

A native from, Ames, Iowa, Fennelly graduated from Iowa State in 2007, earning a bachelor's degree in communications, and recently received his master's degree in high education in 2013, also at Iowa State.
