Three Titan Wrestlers Win Titles in Arizona

Prescott, Ariz. - Sean Roman-Marin (125), Steven De La Fuente (149) and Matt Methling (197) each won an individual championship over the weekend at the Embry-Riddle University Open in Prescott, Arizona.

Roman-Marin is a freshman from Lemoore, de la Fuente is a freshman from West Covina and Methlink is a junior from Vista.

Fullerton wrestlers, all competing unattached, also picked up places at 125 (Andre Gonzalez, third); 133 (Armando Gonzalez, second); 141 (Peter Hoang, second, and Nick Jordan, third); 149 (Aaron Wilson, third); 157 (Ted Bristol, second); 174 (Todd Noel, third); 184 (Andrew Rozario, second); 197 (Dan Ott, second); and heavyweight (Kurt Klimek, third).

Fullerton's front-line of wrestlers will begin the season Friday afternoon at 2:30 when the Titans host their annual High School Wrestlers Day in Titan Gym, facing Pac-10 foe Portland State. The entire roster will be in action Sunday as Titan Gym is the venue for the Fullerton Open, featuring more than 300 wrestlers.
