Fullerton, Calif. - Junior Morgan Atkinson captured the Most Valuble Wrestler Award for the 2006-07 Cal State Fullerton wrestling season. Atkinson was the Pac-10 champion at 149 pounds and went 1-2 at the National Championships to finish the season with a 28-6 record with 3 pins.

Other awards went to:

Most Valuable Newcomer - Heavyweight Wade Sauer, who placed sixth at the national championships to earn All-America honors. His seasonal record was 30-15 with bonus points a team-high 14 times

Most Outstanding Freshman- 141-pounder Adin Duenas took a redshirt year

Most Courageous (Erin Millsap Award) - 184-pounder Ian Murphy was 20-4 before being declared academically ineligible for the Spring semester. In April he won the national championship in university freestyle at 185 pounds

Academic Award - 165 to 184-pounder Scott Judd had the team's best grade point average and earned Pac-10 All-Academic honors
