Wrestlers Complete Unbeaten Road Trip

Feb. 10, 2008

San Francisco, Calif. - Six Cal State Fullerton wrestlers went 2-0 and most piled up multiple bonus points on Sunday as the No. 24-ranked Titans won a pair of dual matches in the San Franciso Bay Area.

In the afternoon, the Titans ran their Pac-10 record to 8-1 with a 25-17 victory over Stanford and in the evening they boosted their overall dual mark to 12-5 with a 33-9 win at San Francisco State.

T. J. Dillashaw at 133 pounds nailed down the win over the Cardinal, which entered the final bout trailing only 21-17. Dillashaw scored a 9-0 major decision over Porfirio Madrigal.

Stanford took an 11-10 lead when Luke Feist pinned Todd Noel at 174 pounds. But Ian Murphy put Fullerton ahead to stay with a decision at 184 and John Drake at 197 and Wade Sauer at heavyweight followed with major decisions for a 21-11 lead.

At San Francisco State, the Titans spoiled the Gators' Senior Night festivities by winning the first three bouts, all by major decision for an early 12-0 lead.
