Mark Savalle (suh-VAL-lee) returned to the Titans' program in 2009-10 after a one-year hiatus...he was the regular at 184 pounds, compiling a 13-19 record... he was 2-9 in dual meets, 2-5 in the Pac-10... in 2007-08 he posted a 5-6 record as a redshirt freshman with two major decisions, all in tournament action... as a true freshman he backed up Bryan Tice at 165 pounds in 2006-07, posting a 1-2 record with a major decision in the Fullerton Open... wrestled four years at Dana Hills High School in Dana Point for Coach Reza Abedi... as a senior was first at CIF Individuals, first in league finals, fifth at CIF Master meet, a state qualifier and CIF MVP as well as second at Mann Classic and fourth at Lemoore Bash... born on Apr. 27, 1988, in Tarzana.. parents are Mark and Beth Savalle.. has one younger brother, Shane, who also is a wrestler... credits Dana Hills Coach Abedi and Risto Marttinen for most influence on his career: "both pushed me to be better on the mat"... chose Fullerton because of its "location, great wrestling team, well-known coach and had a friend wrestling at Fullerton in the past."
