Andre Gonzalez is a three-year letterman and captain of the 2010-11 Titan squad... he has held down the 125-pound slot virtually all of his first three seasons for the Titans... as a sophomore was 17-14 overall, 7-7 in duals including 3-5 in the Pac-10... placed seventh at the Pac-10 championship meet... led team with 7 pins and bonus points on 13 occasions... in 2008-09 his 36 decisions (14-22) were sixth on the squad... had 6 pins and earned bonus points 8 times... placed third at the San Francisco State Open... in 2009-10 he was 22-12, 4-3 in Pac-10 duals, and placed fourth at the Pac-10 Championships, earning his first NCAA Tournament berth... was a four-year letterwinner in wrestling and two-time letterwinner in cross country at Silver Creek High School in San Jose... three-time league champion... was a four-time Central Coast Section qualifier, placing 4th as a freshman, runnerup as a sophomore and junior and champion his senior year... was a three-time state qualifier finishing 4th as a senior and posting a 4-2 record at Senior Nationals, finishing his career for Coach Eddie Luna... was born on Sept. 10, 1989, in San Jose... parents are Juan and Patricia Gonzalez... has two younger sisters (Marissa and Savannah). |
