Former Titan Oughton Earns MLS Championship

Carson, Calif. - Former Cal State Fullerton forward Duncan Oughton has joined the list of former Titan atheltes with professional league championship rings after his Columbus Crew side defeated the New York Red Bulls, 3-1, in the MLS Cup Sunday at the Home Depot Center. Oughton is a veteran of eight MLS seasons. The native of New Zealand is the Titans' career scoring leader with 97 points in the 1997-2000 seasons and he shares the single-season scoring mark with Colby Jackson. Some of the other Titans with championship rings are Bruce Bowen of the San Antonio Spurs (NBA), Mark Collins of the New York Giants (NFL) and Mark Kotsay (Florida Marlins), Dan Naulty (NY Yankees) and Aaron Rowand (Chicago White Sox) from major league baseball. |
