2007 RECORDS:

The Nittany Lions lost to West Virginia and Syracuse at Ohio State on the first weekend of the season and last weekend beat William & Mary (5-0) and lost to Old Dominion (1-0) at home. Jason Yeisley has two of PSU's four goals and Conrad Taylor has a 1.75 GAA in the net. ABOUT OHIO STATE:
The Buckeyes beat West Virginia and tied Syracuse in their own tournament and then at Penn State last weekend beat both Old Dominion (3-2) and William & Mary (5-0). Xavier Balc has a pair of goals and goalkeeper Casey Latchem has a nifty 0.47 GAA. SERIES HISTORIES:
Fullerton is 1-2 vs. Penn State and 1-1 against Ohio State. The Titans lost to Penn State in their 1995 home opener, 3-2. Since then the schools have traded tournament roles. Fullerton hosted both schools to open the 2003 season and beat the Buckeyes, 1-0, and the Nittany Lions, 2-0. Fulleton returned the games in 2005 in Pennsylvania, losing to OSU in overtime, 1-0, and to Penn State, 2-0. ABOUT THE TITANS:
Fullerton had a perfect 2007 season through three matches, shutting out Long Island (2-0), Detroit-Mercy (1-0) and Memphis (2-0), before running into Michigan and a 4-0 loss on Sunday. The Wolverines are now 4-0 and captured the championship of the Titan Tournament on their way to jumping into the national rankings at No. 19 by Soccer America. Five different players have scored for the Titans -- seniors German Moreno, Ben Hofstetter and Amir Shafii; junior Jacob Shumway and sophomore Michael Farfan. The latter will not play against Penn State due to a red card vs. Michigan. The Titans also will be without goalkeeper Brent Douglas for 3 to 4 weeks. Midway through the first half of Sunday's match vs. Michigan he was kicked in the face and suffered fractures to orbital bones. Kevin Puder finished out the Michigan match and is expected to start in the nets this weekend. He appeared in 8 matches last year, seven as a starter with a 2-4 record. Complete Release in PDF Format
