Soccer Team Trains at Camp Pendleton

Aug. 20, 2008

Oceanside, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team is off on a 5-day training session at the U.S. Olympic Training Facility in Chula Vista after taking a one-day trip to Camp Pendleton near Oceanside.

The Titans held a Tuesday morning training session on the U.S. Marine Corps facility and then received a tour of the base from Col. Paddy Gough, who is a board member of the Titans Athletic Club and current president of the CSF Alumni Association.

The team will return to Orange County on Sunday with Fall semester classes beginning this weekend. Fullerton opens the 2008 season in a tournament at Cal State Northridge on Aug. 29 and Aug. 31, facing Alabama A&M and Georgetown.
