Coaches Project Titans for Third Place

Irvine, CA - Defending champion UC Santa Barbara has been picked to repeat as champion of the Big West Conference for the fourth time in the past five seasons in a pre-seasonn poll of the six head coaches.

Cal State Fullerton, which placed fourth in 2004, has been projected for third place but received one first-place vote. Cal Poly, picked for sixth place, also got a first-place vote with UCSB garnering the other four. Cal State Northridge was tabbed for second place, the same spot the Matadors held last year.

Here is the voting with 6 points for first place, 5 points for second, etc., and first-place votes in parentheses:
