Palo Alto, CA - Eugene Brooks scored in traffic in front of the Stanford net in the 77th minute Sunday afternoon to forge a 1-1 tie at Stanford that was not resolved after two overtime periods.
The Titans were down, 1-0, on the scoreboard and down one man on the pitch after Michael Farfan received a red card in the 74th minute. But freshman Matt Sanders got the ball to Brooks and he beat the Cardinal goalkeeper.
Stanford scored in the 14th minute of the game when Kyle Hency found Evan Morgan open in the goal mouth and Morgan beat Brent Douglas.
Stanford outshot Fullerton, 9-6, in the defensive struggle.
Fullerton is now 2-2-1 on the season while Stanford is 1-3-2.
