Kevin Walsh scored 18 minutes into the match and that stood up for the final tally Sunday afternoon as Memphis defeated Cal State Fullerton, 1-0, in the Diadora men's soccer tournament in Memphis. The Tigers improved to 3-1 on the season while the Titans fell to 2-1.

Adam Montgomery and Brian Farrell assisted on Walsh's score, which came from about six yards out and beat Titan goalkeeper Brent Douglas, who would go on to make three saves. The Titans logged 18 shots but only two were on goal resulting in two saves for Memphis keeper Michael Goodlett.

Fullerton played the final three minutes a man down after freshman Gabriel Farfan received a red card.

Earlier Sunday eveing, Clemson defeated Oral Roberts, 2-0, to finish 2-0 and claim first place in the tourney.

The TItans travel next weekend to Palo Alto to play California and Stanford in a weekend tournament.
