SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Chimdum Mez's golden goal header in the 105th minute propelled the Sacramento State men's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout of Cal State Fullerton on Saturday afternoon at Hornet Field in Big West Conference action.

Despite the Titans holding a 22-9 shot advantage, in the second overtime period, Sacramento State's Cody Hoster delivered a pass from the midfield lobbed over the top of the Titan defense.

Mez was left one-on-one with Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper David Rodriguez Elias, and the 6-foot-5 senior forward was able to put his head on the ball in the challenge, sending his shot over Elias and into the goal.

Eleven of CSF's shots were directed on goal, forcing Hornet goalkeeper James Del Curto into 10 saves as well as the Hornets recording a team save on Colin Okirie's shot in the 51st minute.
