Former Titan Reiss Helps Silverbacks to NASL Spring Championship

ATLANTA—Former Titan Bobby Reiss helped the Atlanta Silverbacks clinch the 2013 North American Soccer League spring championship, as Atlanta defeated Minnesota United 3-0 on the final day of the regular season, Thursday night at NSC Stadium in Minnesota.

Reiss scored the goal that sealed the deal for Atlanta, putting the ball in the back of the net in the 73rd minute of play to make it a decisive 2-0 Silverbacks advantage with just over 16 minutes left to play in the contest.

Reiss ends the season scoring goals in two consecutive matches, after he put in his first career score last week vs. the Carolina RailHawks, earning him NASL Player of the Week honors.

Atlanta ends the season on top of the standing with 21 points, while the RailHawks finished second with 20 points, after falling 2-0 to San Antonio their season finale.
