Former Titan Bobby Reiss Signs With NASL’s Silverbacks

FULLERTON, Calif.—Former Cal State Fullerton center back Bobby Reiss signed his first professional contract with the North American Soccer League's Atlanta Silverbacks Wednesday afternoon.

"I couldn't be happier to have gotten the news of Bobby's contract," said Cal State Fullerton head men's soccer coach Bob Ammann. "He is a wonderful young man who works extremely hard and always gives everything he has. He was a key contributor on and off the field for us and is certainly deserving of this opportunity to play at the next level."

Reiss, 22, appeared in a team-leading tying 21 games as a senior team captain for the Titans in 2012.

"I'm blessed and extremely fortunate to get this opportunity in Atlanta," Reiss told AtlantaSilverbacks.com. "I'm thankful for all of the people that helped me get to this point, and now I'm just excited to take the next step and get the season going with my new teammates."

Reiss hopes to make his professional soccer debut when the Silverbacks kick-off their 2013 campaign on April 13 vs. the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

Cal State Fullerton will begin it's 2013 season on Aug. 19th in an exhibition affair vs. California at Titan Stadium.
