Men Finish Fourth

Irvine, Calif. - Dakota Duerr shot a 3-under-par 68 to lead Cal State Fullerton to its best round of the tournament Tuesday and a fourth-place finish at the 9-team Anteater Invitational Men's Golf Tourney at Shady Canyon Golf Club.

Duerr improved by 8 strokes over his first two rounds of 76 to total 220 and tie teammate Ryan Tetrault for 14th place. Titan Mark Anguiano, the tourney leader by one stroke after the first two rounds, shot a 77 and finished in a tie for seventh at 2-over 215. Kevin Lim of team champion Long Beach State (862) won the individual title at 1-under 212.

Following the 49ers were St. John's at 870, San Jose State at 874 and Fullerton at 878.

Other Titans scores were 223 by Corey Gard and 238 by Scott Rubzin.

Fullerton begins play in the Big West Conference Championship Tournament Sunday at La Quinta.
