Broken Arrow, Calif. - Freshman Mark Anguiano shot a 2-over-par 74 to match teammate Corey Gard at 231 for the Bob Hurley Auto ORU Shootout as Cal State Fullerton placed seventh among 10 teams at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.
Fullerton's final team score was 930, one stroke behind Northern Iowa in sixth place. First-round leader Texas State bounced back to overtake second-round leader Louisiana-Monroe for the team title at 885, 5 strokes better than runnerup Sam Houston State.
Anguiano and Gard tied for 27th overall. Teammates Dakota Duerr (34th, 233), Dave Lyons (38th, 236) and Josh Park (T42nd, 241) completed the team scoring. Scott Rubzin played as an individual and finished 23rd at 229.
UL-Monroe's Gustaf Kocken won the tourney by 7 strokes with a 6-under park 210.
