FULLERTON, Calif. -- Mark Anguiano and Corey Gard both shot an even par round of 72 over the first 18 holes and were on par in the second round to lead Cal State Fullerton to third place when play at the Bill Cullum Invitational was suspended because of darkness.
The pair are joined in the top 25 spots individually by Dakota Duerr whose total card showed a one over midway through the second round. Ryan Tetrault and Mark Jensma round out the competing Titan team and are tied for 35th with a five-over mark when play concluded for the day.
Cal State Fullerton (+6) trails Washington State (-7) and San Diego (-4) in team play, and are three shots ahead of Arizona State in the team standings for the 20-team event.
Play resumes in the morning at the Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley. The event is hosted by Cal State Northridge.
