CSF '10-11: Scott Rubzin played in all but one
event for the Titans in 2010-11 with an average round of 75.43...
best finish was a tie for 11th at the Del Walker Invitational in
Long Beach in March where he shot a consistent 216 (74-71-71)...
tied for 12th at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Simi Valley with a
217 capped by a season's best round of 70... had to withdraw from
the Folino Invitational due to back problems.
CSF '09-10: Scott played 20 rounds over seven
tournaments for the Titans' renewed men's golf program in
2009-10... he had the second-best scoring average on the team at
75.8 (1,515 strokes)... he had the second lowest round of the
season for the team, a 66 in his third round at the Firestone Grill
College Invitational in San Luis Obispo on Oct. 6... his best
tourney finish was a tie for eighth at the Cal State Bakersfield
Spring Invitational on March 22-23 with a 5-over par score of
221... at the 2010 Big West Conference Championships he placed 36th
with a 21-over par 237, fourth best by a Titan.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rubzin was a two-time swimming and
golf letterman for Heritage Academy on Hilton Head Island, South
Carolina... was a junior national swimmer... made the honor roll
his junior and senior seasons.
PERSONAL: Born on Nov. 18, 1990... parents are
Todd and Randi Rubzin... sister Emily is an athlete at Los Osos HS
in Rancho Cucamonga... has eight IJGT Top 10 finishes to his
credit... placed seventh at the 2008 AJGA Tee Up Junior and fifth
at the 2008 IJGT Tournament of Champions... was 27th in the AJGA
Hanmi Bank Junior Open... attended the Hank Haney International
Junior Golf Academy... chose Fullerton for the opportunity to play
Div. I and for the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics...
