LAST GAME: The Titans completed a sweep of their 2-game series with University of San Diego with their best offensive showing of the season in a 90-76 win on Saturday night. Fullerton shot 59 percent from the floor including 64 percent in the second half. Jer'Vaughn Johnson (23 points, 7 rebounds) and Orane Chin (21 points, 6 rebounds) dominated inside and the Titans got major production from the backcourt in Devon Peltier (19 points), Roger Guardia off the bench (14 points including 4-for-4 treys) and Perry Webster (10 assists with no turnovers).

NO EXPERIENCE: With no two-years or more lettermen, the Titans field a roster that has a total of only nine seasons of Div. I experience (Johnson 3, Hardy 2, Chin 2, Williams 1 and Peltier 1) and only four of those are at Fullerton (Johnson, Chin, Williams and Peltier, 1 each). With Johnson and Hardy sidelined, the Titans took only eight healthy scholarship players to Oahu with a total of four seasons of Div. I experience.

THE COACH: Bob Burton is 126-97 in his eighth season at Cal State Fullerton and career. He has the most victories at the Div. I level and trails only Alex Omalev (139-176 in 12 years) all-time. Burton's winning percentage of .565 trails only Bobby Dye (.583, 109-78). He is 0-1 vs. Arizona.

ROAD WARRIORS: Under Bob Burton, the Titans have made dramatic strides as a road team. In the past six seasons plus this year, they are 59-57 (.509) away from Titan Gym (includes 11-15 on neutral floors). For the previous 10 seasons (1994-95 thru 2003-04) the combined road record was 30-115 (.207). With a 3-11 mark in his first season (2003-04), Burton's total CSF road record is 62-68 (.477).

FRIENDLY CONFINES: Under Bob Burton, the Titans are 64-29 (.688) in Titan Gym including 34-3 (.919) in non-conference games. Fullerton has won its last 12 and 31 of its last 32 home non-conference games with the exception an 84-80 loss to Wright State on Dec. 22, 2007. Fullerton's all-time Div. I Titan Gym record is 289-163 (.639). Fullerton also is 1-8 in regular season home games at the Anaheim Convention Center.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS: Arizona is 7-1 after an 83-60 rout of Oklahoma on Sunday. The Wildcats' only loss was to Kansas on Nov. 27, 87-79. in Las Vegas. Second-year Head Coach Sean Miller has seen 6-foot-8 sophomore forward Derrick Williams lead the team in scoring in every game, averaging 20 points and 7.3 rebounds. He is from La Mirada High School, which is about 10 miles as the crow flies from the Cal State Fullerton campus. Guard Kyle Fogg (8.1 ppg and 3.6 apg) is from Brea-Olinda HS, which is about two miles away. Arizona is shooting 52 percent from the floor, 40.6 percent from the 3-point line and 77 percent at the foul line and outrebounding its foes by more than 11 boards per game.

PAC-10 HISTORY: Fullerton is 4-22 all-time vs. the current Pac-10 alignment with all of those games except one (75-55 W vs. Washington on Dec. 19, 1986, in Titan Gym) occurring on the Pac-10 floors. The other three wins have come at UCLA, Oregon State and Arizona. The records: 1-0 vs. Washington; 1-1 vs. Oregon State (1-0 NIT); 1-3 vs. Arizona; 1-9 vs. UCLA; 0-1 vs. Cal (NIT); 0-2 vs. Arizona State (0-1 NIT); and 0-3 vs. USC and Oregon. Only twice has Fullerton played more than one Pac-10 team in the same season: Washington, UCLA and Cal in 1986-87 and Arizona State and USC in 2003-04, Bob Burton's first year at Fullerton.

SERIES HISTORY: Arizona leads the series, 3-1, with all four games played in Tucson. Fullerton won on Dec. 1, 1983, 67-66, behind 31 points by Leon Wood, who returned to where he played his freshman season. In the last meeting on Nov. 28, 2007, Arizona cruised to a 91-65 win. Fullerton hit only 2 of its first 10 shots with five of them blocked (9 total in the game). Fullerton shot only 34 percent for the game with Josh Akognon getting 19 points on 6 of 18 shooting. Arizona shot 62 percent.

KEY STATISTIC: Fullerton has outrebounded its opponent three times this year and each occurrence coincided with a victory. The edge in boards was 39-34 in a 3-point win at San Diego, 43-20 in a 10-point home win over Cal State Bakersfield and 27-24 in Saturday's 90-76 win.

KEY STATISTIC NUMBER TWO: Fullerton has been cold and hot at the foul line. An 11-for-24 effort was fatal in an opening 3-point loss to Central Michigan and a streak of 2 made in 7 attempts down the stretch at Montana kept the Titans behind. Conversely, the Titans made 33 of 37 in beating Cal State Bakersfield and the difference in the win at USD came at the line -- Fullerton was 18-for-23 while USD was 13-for-22.

TITAN PLAYER THUMBNAILS:

Orlando Brown - playing time has diminished with arrival of Jer'Vaughn Johnson and emergence of Roger Guardia... averaged 29 minutes over first six games vs. 16.5 minutes over last two games with total of 2 points and 4 rebounds... twice has grabbed 9 in a game... also has guarded opponents' top scoring threat... scored season-high 11 points vs. Cal State Bakersfield.

Roger Guardia - has emerged last two games, playing 20 minutes each night after only 29 minutes TOTAL in first six games... grabbed 9 rebounds at Montana and against USD had 14 points including 4-for-4 from 3-point line.

Andre Hardy - underwent surgery late summer for bone chips and ligament damage in ankle... cleared to practice this week but not expected to play until Big West schedule.

Devon Peltier - has taken over team scoring lead at 15.6 ppg... led the Titans with 15 points at USC and 20 at Montana and in between was most of the Titans' offense in the second half at San Diego, scoring 14 of his career and game-high 24 points... had 19 points in second USD win... averaged 11 points but shot poorly in Hawai'i, going combined 1-for-10 from 3-point line in first two games... 5-for-12 treys on way to 19 points vs. Montana State.

Isiah Umipig - freshman has played only 14 total minutes in last two games after averaging 23 minutes over first six games... hit game-tying trey vs. Central Michigan with 1:01 to play... averaged 10 points and 2.0 rebounds in Hawai'i... back-up point guard ended up at starting small forward vs. Montana State.

Perry Webster - after scoreless game at USC came back for season-high 17 points vs. Cal State Bakersfield... has had zero turnovers in four of the eight games including second USD win when he had 10 assists... leads Big West in assist-to-turnover ratio at 4.1 (41 to 10)... sixth in the nation... averaged 8 points and 5.7 assists in Hawai'i... scored only 5 points at San Diego but they turned a 58-55 deficit into a 60-58 lead on back-to-back possessions (2 free throws and a trey around his steal)... had 4 steals at USC.

Eric Williams - walk-on averaged 9 minutes per game in Hawai'i... got first career start at San Diego as Titans went "big," starting him (6-3) in place of 6-1 Umipig, who started against Montana State.
