LAST GAME: The Titans could have gone to 4-0 for only the second time in the Bob Burton era but they lost Sunday to Houston Baptist, 88-83, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Fullerton fell behind 14-0 when it missed its first 10 shots. The Titans were tied at 60-60 with 9 minutes to play but never got the lead and failed on four chances to overcome a 3-point deficit in the final 30 seconds. D. J. Seeley (25), Kwame Vaughn (21) and Omondi Amoke (20) combined for 66 of the team's 83 points.

THE COACH: Bob Burton is 137-113 in his ninth season at Cal State Fullerton and career. He has the most victories at the Div. I level and trails only Alex Omalev (139-176 in 12 years) all-time. Burton's winning percentage of .548 trails only Bobby Dye (.583, 109-78).

FRIENDLY CONFINES: Under Bob Burton, the Titans are 70-34 (.673) in Titan Gym including 36-4 (.900) in non-conference games. Fullerton has won 33 of its last 35 home non-conference games with the exceptions an 84-80 loss to Wright State on Dec. 22, 2007, and a 71-57 loss to Montana on Dec. 22, 2010. Fullerton's all-time Div. I Titan Gym record is 295-167 (.639). Fullerton also is 1-8 in regular season home games at the Anaheim Convention Center.

ON THE ROAD: From the 2004-05 through 2009-10 seasons, Coach Burton's second thru seventh years, the Titans were 57-51 (.528) on the road. But last year they were only 4-15 away from Titan Gym. At 2-1 this season, Coach Burton's current total (including 12-17 on neutral floors) is 67-79 (.459). By comparison, for the nine seasons (1994-95 thru 2002-03) prior to Burton's arrival, the combined road record was 27-104 (.206).

SERIES HISTORIES: Fullerton leads the all-time series vs. Cal State Bakersfield, 12-3, but the Roadrunners won the last meeting, 77-75, on Jan. 25, 2011, in Bakerfield. Fullerton is 7-1 in Titan Gym, winnng the last seven. The Roadrunners' win in Fullerton came in the 1972-73 season.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT: The Roadrunners have a new head coach in veteran Rod Barnes, who became their eighth head coach on Mar. 30, 2011. The 2001 Naismith Coach of the Year at Ole Miss guided the Rebels (`98-'06) to three NCAA Tournament appearances in his first four seasons. He was 141-109 during his eight seasons including a 20-win season in 1998. He most recently coached at Georgia State for the past four seasons. Barnes is the only person in the storied history of the Southeastern Conference to be named both All-SEC as a player and SEC Coach of the Year. Bakersfield arrives with a 2-1 record after losing at Oregon State, winning at Cal Poly and beating Pepperdine on their new blue home court ini 3,800-seat Icardo Center.

DIVISION I TRANSFERS: Omondi Amoke, D. J. Seeley, John Underwood and Kwame Vaughn have brought the number of Div. I transfers to play for Coach Bob Burton to 15. Teammates Orane Chin and Andre Hardy preceded them. Two others (Sean Williams, Syracuse, academics; and Lloyd Walls, Wright State, injury) redshirted but never actually played. In Fullerton's Div. I history, they bring the total to 38. In the same time frame (1975 to present), only six players have left for other Div. I programs and only one in the Burton era.
