Irvine, Calif. - The home-and-home series vs. Long Beach State and possibly a home game vs. UC Santa Barbara comprise Cal State Fullerton's scheduled appearances on the 2011-12 Big West Conference Men's Basketball Television package revealed today.
The Titans' game in The Walter Pyramid on Saturday, Jan. 28, will tipoff at 8 p.m for ESPNU. The home finale on Saturday, March 3, will tip off at 4 p.m for FS West.
Fullerton's home game vs. the Gauchos on Saturday, Feb. 4, is one of four games to be whittled to two telecasts -- either a 6 p.m. ESPNU broadcast or a 7:30 p.m. FS West time slot. That determination will be made a few weeks before that date.
Defending regular season champion Long Beach State, with most of its lineup returning, will be featured three times from the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu around Christmas and also have road games at Louisville and Kansas carried on ESPNU. UC Riverside is making its first appearance in the 76 Classic in Anaheim over Thanksgiving Weekend and will receive three exposures on either ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3 depending on game times.
Both men's semifinals and the championship game of the Big West Tournament in March from the Honda Center will be televised on one of the ESPN family outlets. The women's championship game will be carried by Prime Ticket.
