CSF: Isiah Umipig (YOO-muh-pihg) could be a real surprise and become one of the most talented guards in the Big West Conference this season... was selected the 2010-11 Big West 6th Player of the Year after averaging 7.4 points and 1.4 rebounds... came off the bench in 24 of his 31 game appearances... in a statistical quirk, his best scoring bursts came in pairs of games... he scored in double figures 10 times (only twice at home) and they came in five 2-game spurts sprinkled throughout the season... best pair of games were 16 points at Pacific (Mar. 3) and season-high 23 at UC Davis (Mar. 5) in final two regular season games... had back-to-back 19-point games at UC Irvine (Jan. 5) and UC Riverside (Jan. 8)... made the CSF Honor Roll (3.00 gpa or higher) in Spring of 2011.

FEDERAL WAY HIGH SCHOOL: Umipig led his Federal Way High team to the 2009 Class 4A state championship, the first in school history... team placed third in 2010... scored 19 points in title game to cap a season marred by an ankle injury... as a senior, drove length of floor for game-winning basket with 8 seconds remaininng in overtime in 60-59 win over Gonzaga Prep in quarterfinals...finished with 24 points... had 20 points and 4 assists in 64-44 win over Stanwood in opening round... played for Coach Jerome Collins... played travel ball with Team Access... also played two years of football as a running back and strong safety.

PERSONAL: Born on March 25, 1992, in Renton, Washington... mother is Marisol Willis of Des Moines, Washington... has two sisters -- Felisha Willis and Ja'Taeya Umipig... undeclared major... goal is to become a coach... nickname is "Zeke"... likes to make and listen to music and play golf with his uncle "D"... most memorable sports thrill was winning and being elected MVP of the state championship game... credits Coach Collins for most influence on his basketball career: "He taught me the importance of working hard and being loyal."
