CSF: Orane (OHR-uhn) Chin is the most experienced player in the Titans' program with two playing seasons and a redshirt year under Coach Bob Burton... started all but one of team's 31 games last season... was third on the team in both scoring (12.2 points per game) and rebounding (5.6 rpg)... second in assists (2.1 apg) and free-throw percentage (.746)... was the Big West Player of the Week (Jan. 17-23) for his efforts in home wins vs. Long Beach State and UCSB... made a decisive 3-point play in closing seconds of home win over UC Irvine on Feb. 3... had career-high 32 points in loss at Portland State on Dec. 12... made the all-tournament team at the season-opening Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, averaging 22.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in 3 games... in Spring of 2011 he made the CSF Honor Roll (3.00 gpa or higher)... in 2009-10 he came off the bench in 29 of team's 31 games, starting twice... averaged 7.4 points and 3.6 rebounds... in two games vs. UC Irvine averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds... was in double figures in scoring nine times... in Spring of 2011 he made the CSF Honor Roll (3.00 gpa or higher). SOUTH FLORIDA: Played in all but one game in 2007-08 as a true freshman for a 12-19 Bulls' team (3-15 in the Big East)... started 14 times, mostly in the first half of the season... averaged 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds... highest scoring game was 17 points vs. East Carolina in 81-67 win on Nov. 24... had 13 points and 9 rebounds vs. Rhode Island in Nov. 16 loss... had high of 10 rebounds vs. Central Florida on Dec. 1... made first six 3-point field goal attempts of the season over 3 games but then made only 3 of 20 remainder of the campaign... one of six players to transfer out of Coach Stan Heath's program but the only one of the group recruited by the first-year head coach. MIRAMAR HIGH SCHOOL: First-team all-state 6A selection as a senior for Miramar High School and Coach Kenneth Kelley in metropolitan Miami... averaged 25 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists per game as a senior for a 22-7 team that advanced to the state quarterfinals... team's Most Valuable Player... played in the Dade-Broward Counties All-Star Game and made the all-tournament team at the 9th annual Senior Showcase in Orlando... also competed in track and field as a high jumper and long jumper. DR. MICHAEL KROP HIGH SCHOOL: Played his sophomore and junior seasons at Dr. Krop High School in Miami, twice earning second-team all-county honors... averaged 16.4 points and 7.7 rebound as a junior for a 28-4 team... shot 58 percent from the floor and led team to a regional finals appearance... as a sophomore averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds. PACE HIGH SCHOOL: Varsity letterman at Pace High School in Miami as a freshman. PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 14, 1988, in Clarendon, Jamaica... mother is Estrian Williams... has an older brother (Christopher) and an older sister (Claudia)... goal is to become a sports agent... enjoys bowling and golf... most memorable sports thrill was dunking on four people with two minutes left to go in a game... played travel ball for the Miami Tropics and the Broward Bobcats and averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds for the latter at the Las Vegas Easter Classic.
